From June 9–11 2026, the international orthopaedic manufacturing industry will gather at OMTEC in Chicago. OMTEC is the only trade fair and conference fully focused on orthopaedic manufacturing – from materials and manufacturing technologies to supply chain strategies.

Focus topics at OMTEC 2026

UC500 (CuCrZr) combines high mechanical strength and conductivity with good workability. The material is used, among other things, as a fine wire and is ideally suited for precision-critical applications. For OEMs, UC500 opens up a wide range of opportunities for demanding development projects in the medtech field.

Cerclage wire solutions are an established component of trauma and orthopaedic surgery and are used for the fixation of fractures and implant components. They have high demands in terms of material quality, uniformity and reliability here.
