Specialist manufacturer of cold-rolled precision strips

Since its establishment in 1901, Lamineries MATTHEY has unarguably positioned itself as a global leader in precision cold rolling, consistently exceeding the most stringent requirements with precision and expertise. The product range includes more than 100 different alloys, such as Durnico® and Durinox®, CuBe alloys, stainless steels, titanium, nickel and its alloys, as well as specialised materials such as Phynox®, Duratherm®, MP35N® and Mu-metal.

In addition to this expertise, we specialise in the cutting of technical parts such as non-ferrous metal trays and watch washers. 

With our precision strips ranging from 0.10 mm to 3.50 mm thick and 143.00 mm wide, we are your partner for applications in both the industrial and watchmaking sectors. And if you already have the material, we can roll, straighten or shear it to your specifications, as well as cut it to size.

We have extensive knowledge of flat wires that has evolved over more than 135 years. Over this long period, we have perfected our knowledge of materials and their processing, as well as the production of our high-precision flat wires. Today, we offer flat spring wires and high-grade profiles in stainless steel, carbon steel and non-ferrous metals of unparalleled precision. We are unwavering in our commitment to continuously optimise our solutions for your future benefit.

Wire crafted with utmost precision

Jacques Allemann specialises in manufacturing high-precision fine wires, pegs , axles, bars, flat microwire and profiles in more than 250 standard and special materials. We manufacture products for a wide variety of industries, including the watchmaking, medical technology, automotive and aerospace sectors.  

There’s no such thing as being too precise as far as we're concerned – especially when it comes to ultrafine wire. We specialise in drawing, straightening, profiling, rolling and polishing various types of wire, specifically focusing on those with exceptionally small diameters and tolerances within the μ range. Our advanced manufacturing techniques, along with our in-house metallographic laboratory, ensure we meet every customer requirement swiftly and reliably, while placing exceptional quality at the heart of everything we do.

Our core business: copper-coated steel wire

We offer our customers electrolytically copper-coated carbon steel wire that is renowned for its exceptional quality and consistently uniform copper layer. Our commitment to meeting the most stringent requirements sets our products apart, ensuring reliability and excellence every time.

We specialise in processing steel grades ranging from C3D to C70D and diameters of 0.15 mm to 1.80 mm. Our expertise includes applying copper layers, ranging from 0.30 to 12 µm in thickness, meticulously adjusted to meet the technical requirements of the final product. We can also carry out further processing, including drawing and thermally treating the wire (annealing) to enhance product properties.
