CuZn42 – new lead-free, non-magnetic alloy for high-precision applications

At Weber + Calibra SA, we continuously expand our material portfolio to meet the increasing demands of our partners. We are pleased to introduce our latest development: CuZn42, a lead-free alloy with reduced iron content, offering excellent non-magnetic properties.

Designed for sectors where precision and magnetic stability are key, this alloy provides a reliable and high-performance solution – especially for micro-mechanics, instrumentation, and technical watchmaking.

Technical properties for sensitive environments

The low-iron CuZn42 alloy stands out through:

  • High non-magnetic performance thanks to optimized composition with minimal ferromagnetic impurities
  • Good cold-forming capability
  • Stable mechanical strength even in thin gauges

These characteristics make CuZn42 the ideal choice for applications where magnetic influence must be minimized.

Available thicknesses: 0.10 mm to 3.60 mm
