Historical heritage with a special highlight: TSteel Nero HL

Grange des Dîmes, a historic building in the canton of Vaud, originally served as a medieval storage facility for tithes and is now considered a cultural heritage site of national importance in Switzerland.

The historic building has been impressively redesigned. A particular highlight is the complete wall cladding of every room, including the kitchen and bathroom, with custom-made, coloured stainless steel panels. In total, over 650 square metres of stainless steel sheets were used.

The stainless steel brings a timeless elegance to the rooms, reflecting light in a striking manner. In the kitchen and bathroom, in particular, modern design blends seamlessly with the building’s historic elements. The shimmering finish also provides brightness and a refined, contemporary look.

This renovation serves as a reference for contemporary construction within a historical context; the new cladding preserves the building's charm while innovatively highlighting its structure. It demonstrates how high-quality materials can be integrated into historic buildings without compromising their character.
